Human Security Now!

How to implement the proposals in the Report of the Human Security Commission in order to advance human security? Invitation to a public event in London on April 2.

The Human Security Track of the Helsinki Process on Globalisation and Democracy would like to invite you to discuss the political strategy to mainstream human security by action. The event takes place in Arundel House, the headquarters of The International Institute of Strategic Studies (13-15 Arundel Street, Temple Place, London WC2R 3DX, United Kingdom) in Friday April 2nd 2004 from 9 to 11 o’clock.

Key-note address will be given by Ms. Mary Robinson, Director, Ethical Globalization Initiative and former President of Ireland. The following discussion is opened by a comment by Dr. Lincoln Chen, Director of the Global Equity Center of Harvard Kennedy School of Government, USA.
The session is moderated by Dr. Fen Osler Hampson, Convenor of the Track on Human Security, Director of the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University, Canada. Lively and active discussion is expected.
