Helsinki Process debated in the World Social Forum A dialogue on globalisation and democracy took place in conjunction with the World Social Forum (18 January 2004). The dialogue "Democratising Globally – Civil Society Engaging with State Actors" was organised by Indian, Tanzanian and Finnish non-governmental organisations. The purpose of the dialogue was to explore the ideas and visions of a more democratic international community with special emphasis on civil society perspectives from the South.
